Bob was my one of my favorite, and most effective, teachers (RHS Class of '71). I came back to visit him, in class, a couple of years after graduating. He was giving his current class the same "boiled frog" speech he gave mine about how we were all slackers, and needed to try harder etc. It made my entire year to hear it again and it was effective. Bob was a good man with a gentle heart. I am sorry so many RHS students never had the chance to experience life with him in it. My sympathies to his family. Rest In Peace Bob, you've earned .........

Dear Eric and family, Sorry to learn of Bob's passing. He touched a lot of lives as a teacher including my four children. He really enjoyed his granddaughters, telling of their acheivements and watching them play softball. This has been a rough year for your family. Take care. Sincerely , Joy

Mr. Laswell was my Chem teacher in 1977. He had some pretty profound words, that I'll never forget..."We were not meant to feel good every day of our lives". I don't remember the context, but when I'm feeling under the weather, I always think of those words. I was probably one of his worst students, if my experiment was to turn blue and fizz, my always seemed to turn green and was flat. That being said, he was a great teacher and a very patient man. I will never forget him. My deepest condolences for the family.

Was saddened to learn of Mr. Laswell's passing. He was one of my all time favorite teachers at RHS. I too recall the frog in the boiling water speech and it's affect. I can also recall all those hot days he spent at the city park getting the fields ready for play each day. RIP Mr. Laswell.
