Mrs. I. Elaine Napier, age 85, of Robinson, IL and formerly of Hutsonville and Annapolis, IL died Wednesday April 19, 2017 at 9:33 PM at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL, following several months of failing health.

She was born September 27, 1931 in Annapolis, IL, the daughter of Bruce and Thelma (Gower) Lingafelter.  On June 11, 1949, she married Rondell D. Napier and he survives.

Elaine was a homemaker and a former member of the Annapolis United Methodist Church. She taught Sunday School for over 50 years; was a choir member and Deacon.  Elaine served on many committees, including United Methodist Women and the Thimble Club as well as the U Of I, Crawford County Home Extension.

Survivors include her husband, Rondell D. Napier, Robinson, IL; a son and daughter-in-law, Myron N. and Patricia Napier, Palestine, IL; one daughter, Sheri D. Higginbotham, Marshall, IL; a brother and sister-in-law, Erland and Martha Lingafelter, Hutsonville, IL; a brother-in-law, Randall “Pete” Napier, Annapolis, IL; four grandchildren, Brett and Mandy Higginbotham, West Union, IL; Amy and Corey Cook, Martinsville, IL; Christopher Napier, Palestine, IL; Kylie and Eric Jenkins, York, IL; eight great-grandchildren, Chase and Alexandria Jenkins; Garron, Grant and Grayson Haenig; Cash and Ayla Cook; Gary and Brenna Higginbotham and several nephews and a niece also survive.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Sterle Lingafelter; a great-grandson, Chance Jenkins; a brother-in-law, Bill Higgins; sisters-in-law, Doris Lingafelter and Pat Napier.

Services will be Saturday April 22, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL with visitation on Friday April 21, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL.  Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Annapolis, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.

She was always helping everyone else until she needed help. Now, she will go back to taking care of others! Love will always be in my heart for Aunt Elaine. She will be missed.

I do not know where to begin. There are so many memories of Elaine. Stopping by Grandma Jane's delivering mail, the fish fries and the list goes on. If you ever were in trouble she would be there for you. Stopped by last summer to see her, so glad I did. She will be truly missed.

Aunt Elaine will be truly missed. We have so many memories, which hold a special place in our hearts. I've been called little Elaine before and have always took that as a compliment. Love you forever Aunt Elaine!!!

Rondel, Myron, Sheri, & family ---- So sorry for your loss. Since losing both my parents, I understand your pain. I am so very sorry for your loss. Elaine was such a wonderful person and a very sweet lady. She will be missed by all who knew her.
