Mr. William S. “Shell” Myers, age 50, of Palestine, IL, died Thursday March 10, 2016 at 9:28 PM at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL, of chronic pneumonia.

Born July 21, 1965 in Rensselaer, IN, he was the son of Donald W. and Fannie Rozella (Collins) Myers.  Shell graduated Calumet High School, Gary, Indiana in 1983 with a perfect four year attendance record. He was employed as a Shift Foreman and Dock Supervisor for Bullett Trucking Inc., Carson, CA; worked locally as a foreman and laborer for M & W Construction, Robinson, IL.

Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Bobbie Jo Myers, Griffith, IN; Drema and Keith Barrett, Crab Orchard, W. V., also surviving are nieces and nephews, Shauna Stephen; J. D. Stephen; Ashlie Chiasson; Amber Stephen; Brandie Myers; Greg Myers II; Collin Myers and Candace Myers, special nieces and nephews Elizabeth and Karl Enswieler, Jessica Miller, Linda Miller-Norris, Stephen Miller & Eli (Woody) Miller along with eight great nieces and three great nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and a great niece, Isabella “Bella” Parker.

Funeral service will be Saturday March 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL, with Bro. Dee Wolfe officiating.  Visitation will be Friday March 18, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL.  Burial will follow funeral services in York Cemetery, York, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the Bella Parker Children’s Fund in care of Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL, with envelopes available at the funeral home.

I am the daughter of Everett Eveland & Sandra Sue Collins. You may not remember me. My mom and your mom were cousins. I am so sorry to hear of Shel's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. God Bless!
