Mrs. Velma C. Brimberry, age 89, of Robinson, IL, died Monday January 4, 2016 at 10:45 AM at her residence, rural Robinson, IL.

Born August 21, 1926, in Robinson Township, Crawford County, IL, the daughter of Frank and Esther Pearl (Eagleton) Maxwell.  On February 12, 1956, she married Buddie Eugene Brimberry.  After being divorced for many years, he preceded her in death June 5, 1995. Velma was a graduate of Robinson Township High School in 1944; a homemaker and telephone operator for General Telephone Company, Robinson, IL, and was a member of the Day Spring Full Gospel Assembly in Trimble, IL.  

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Grover Lee and Fredda Brimberry, Robinson, IL; Thomas Kevin Brimberry, Centralia, IL; Roger Wayne and Dottie Brimberry, Robinson, IL; a daughter, Laura Jane Brimberry, Robinson, IL; a brother and sister-in-law, Earl and LaWana Maxwell, Robinson, IL; six grandchildren, Armeda and Tim Butler, Memphis, TN; Kaycee and Michael Connelly, Robinson, IL; Rebecca Brimberry, Robinson, IL; Kiva and Ryan Hill, Robinson, IL; Dustin Brimberry and Fiancée Tiffany Aldrich, Robinson, IL; Donny and Shona Dunlap, Palestine, IL; fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; former husband, Buddie Eugene Brimberry, 1995; infant son, Timothy Charles Brimberry at birth; sister, Evelyn Rich, 2008; granddaughter, Zandra Decker, 2011; grandson, Steven Brimberry, 1989; great granddaughter, Malyna Davey, 2011.

Funeral service will be Friday January 8, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL, with Bro. Larry McCormick officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday January 7, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL.  Burial will follow funeral services, in the Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Crawford County Humane Society, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
