Sympathy to Virginia's family for her loss. I'll always be grateful for her support for the Crawford County A.A.U.W.'s award of my scholarship. Her caring spirit will be forever with us. Wishing you peace and comfort. Sincerely, Ellen

I am saddened at the news of Mrs. Newlin's departure from life as we know it. She was my high school teacher in Algebra I and Geometry. I know Algebra I was so easy for me, and I made C's in Geometry working hard. She was so proud of me when I made an A on my semester exams. She patted me on the back and told me she knew I could do it. She was my class sponsor from my freshman year through my senior year. In the "Class of 1972 Prophecy" I was to take her place as the high school math teacher, but she retired in the year I graduated; so that was impossible. I was so happy to have her at each of our class reunions. I felt proud she was still with us. I thought of her often. She will be missed!
