We are so sorry to hear of Mr. Mayfield's passing.
He was a fine, smart man with a wonderful sense of humor. He and Jeanne have been our neighbors for 43 years, and they built our house. We love them for that!
Jeanne, Terry, Trudy and all the grandchildren have our deepest sympathy.

So sorry to hear of Carrel's passing. I worked across the hall from him at St Mary's Hospital in LaSalle, Il many, many years ago. He was a funny, caring gentleman. We used to have lots of laughs at the end of the hall, out of site to much of what we were doing. Good memories.

I remember Mr. Mayfield from Ill Valley Community  Hospital,Peru, Il.
He was always telling a joke  and smiling. It sounds like he had a great life.
His obituary was a wonderful way to honor him. An amazing person.
You are in prayers.

Uncle Carrel always had a smile on his face and he would make sure you smiled too.  He would show me a hand trick every time I saw him and he would trick me every time.  Can’t count how many miles we rode together in the motor home and he would point out sites along the way.  He was married to my Aunt Jeanne (my dad’s sister).  She passed ten days later, and now they are together again.  Love you Uncle Carrel
