Our heartfelt sympathy to Bert and the Ridlen Family. Dick was a wonderful individual who served his community, friends, and family with pride and devotion. I have many fond memories of Dick and the Ridlen family while I was at OHS and feel blessed to have known Dick Ridlen and his family. Regretfully, we won't be able to attend Dick's visitation or funeral, but please know that you are in our thoughts and daily prayers.

In the mid 60's, Dick lived in my neighborhood and went to the same church I did. Even though he was 5 years older than me, I remember going to Red and Bernadine's house and everyone being so nice. My fondest and best memory of Dick was at the Oblong Park, ice skating on the lake. One time, I was getting ready to get on the ice and Dick was around the fire singing. He started singing "A Little Bitty Tear", I stayed around to hear the whole song. I've always remembered that moment of him singing that song. Such a great person. Rest in peace, Dick.
