Mrs. Barbara Anne  Stephens, age 84 of LeRoy, Illinois and formerly of Marshall and Hutsonville, IL passed away Saturday January 25, 2020 at 8:08 AM at Burnsides Nursing Home, Marshall, IL following many months of failing health.

Born August 3, 1935 in Hutsonville Township, Crawford County, IL the daughter of John David and Margaret R. (Hart) Holmes. On July 31, 1953 she married Max Eugene Stephens and he preceded her in death February 2, 1992.  

Barbara Anne was a homemaker and mother of three children whom she loved dearly; in later years, she was a grill cook at the Marshall McDonalds Restaurant.  She was a member of the LeRoy Christian Church, LeRoy, IL and a member of the Marshall VFW Women’s Auxiliary, Marshall, IL.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Brenda Stephens, Paris, IL; daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia “Cindy” and Jim Bastion, Calumet, City, IL, Gena and Tom Calhoun, LeRoy, IL; seven grandchildren: Stephanie and Robert Short, Morristown, IN, Cale and Jaclyn Bastion, Chicago, IL, Amy and Steven Miller, Ocean Springs, MS, Matthew and Amy Calhoun, Grand Forks AFB, ND, Kayla and Mitchel Brannock, LeRoy, IL, Devin and Madison Stephens, Paris, IL, Lane Stephens, Paris, IL;  seven great-grandchildren, Tommy and Ben Calhoun, Claudia, Vivian, Henry and Scarlett Miller, Madison Bastion and Hannah Brannock due March, 2020. Other survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, David  and Dorie Holmes, Petersburg, IN; a niece, Lori Thyen, Petersburg, IN and a nephew, Jeff Holmes, Petersburg, IN.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Max in 1992 and twin grandsons James Eugene and Brandon Joseph Stephens in 1992.

Funeral service will be Saturday February 1, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Hutsonville, IL with Pastor Jeff Mayfield officiating.  Visitation will be Friday January 31, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Hutsonville Cemetery, Hutsonville, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association with envelopes available at Pulliam Funeral Homes in Robinson and Hutsonville, IL.
