E. Doreen Phillips, age 89 of Robinson, IL went to be with our Lord Wednesday January 23, 2019 at 10:52 AM at Aperion Care in Bridgeport, IL with her family at her bedside, following several years of failing health.

Born January 17, 1930 in Greybull, WY the daughter of Bert E. and Vera G. (Greenley) Newton.  In 1966 she married Robert Osborn and he passed away May of 1968.  She married Billie E. Vaughn in 1949 and he died in 2005.

Doreen was employed as a Physical Therapy Assistant with Bartlett Memorial Medical Center in Sapulpa, OK.  She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church, Robinson, IL.  Doreen loved life and she loved to laugh and she loved her children and their families.  One of Doreen’s favorite things to do was to tell her life’s stories.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Gazi Rahman, Robinson, IL; a son and daughter-in-law Michael and Chris Vaughn, Port St. Lucie, FL; and a daughter and son-in-law Cherie and John Gianguilli, Fairbanks, AK; ten grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband and life partner and soul mate, James Dean.

In accordance with Doreen’s wishes, her body will be cremated, and a private Celebration of Life Service will be held with interment of her cremated remains in Kellyville, OK.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation with envelopes available at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL.
