Mr. Gary A. Timms, age 68 of Robinson, IL died Monday January 7, 2019 at 12:51 PM at his residence in rural Robinson, IL following a long period of declining health.

Born January 22, 1950 in Pinkstaff, IL he was the son of William O. and Virgie Marie (Beard) Timms.  On June 14, 1969 he married Carol A. Badger and they later divorced.  On March 17, 1974 he married Leta Rae Baker and she preceded him in death July 19, 2009.  

Gary was a pipefitter with Local #469, Phoenix, AZ.  He joined the union in 1974 and retired in 2000.  He was a member of the Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church, Flat Rock, IL; member of the Crawford County Collectibles and the Flat Rock Masonic Lodge AF & AM #348, Scottish Rite Bodies of Danville, IL.

Survivors include a son and companion, Michael A. Timms and Heather Lowery, Wallingford, KY; a daughter and companion, Genevieve Marie Timms and Michael Mahoney, Robinson, IL; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild; close friend and caregiver, Karen Hemrich, Robinson, IL; brothers and sister-in-law, Charles and Lois Timms, Farmington, New Mexico and Bill Timms, Farifield, IL

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Carol A. (Badger) Timms, December 27, 1997; wife, Leta Rae Timms, 2009; a sister, Barbara Timms Childress in 1997 and twin brothers, stillborn in 1940.

The Funeral Service will he held on Saturday January 12, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL with Bro. Gene A. Beard officiating.  Visitation will be from 11:00 PM until time of service at 1:00 PM, with a Masonic Service before the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Hutsonville Cemetery, Hutsonville, IL

Memorial donations may be made to the Flat Rock Masonic Lodge AF & AM #348 with envelopes available at the funeral home.

So sorry to hear about Gary passing, although I know his health has not been good. I spend many summers in Flat Rock with his family and have many fond memories of those summers. Also had a good time visiting him in Arizona. I am out of town and will not be able to attend the services but you are in my thoughts.

I am very sorry to hear of Gary's passing. My thoughts and prayers to out to his friends and family, and our fellow classmates of the RHS Class of 1968. May you rest in peace, Gary. We shall meet again.

So very sorry to hear of Gary's passing. I too knew he was not in good health and was ready to go be with his heavenly father. You will always be remembered by the beautiful memories you have left behind. Rest in peace Gary.

I would like to extent my condolences to Gary's family and friends. Gary's and I were classmates, the Class of 1968. Gary seemed almost like extended family to me. He was a very good man. He can rest now. Their will be no more sorrows. He will be missed by so many. Again, my condolences.
