MS. CONNIE A. DUNLAP, AGE 52

Ms. Connie A. Dunlap, age 52 of Palestine, IL died Monday June 4, 2018 at 6:26 AM at her home in Palestine, IL of a heart attack.

Born June 15, 1965 in Danville, IL she was the daughter of Lawrence and Margaret (Toney) Yargus.  

Connie worked for Jakel Motors and Brock Food Town in Palestine as well as doing Maintenance and Cleaning for the Village of Palestine and other families in the area.

Connie was a big fan of Professional Stock Car Racing and rarely missed watching a big race on TV.  She was also a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys.  She dearly loved her children and grandchildren and was dedicated to spending as much time with them as she could.

Survivors include her significant other of 16 years, Stanley D. Halterman, Palestine, IL; daughters and son-in-law, Amanda Dunlap and Jesse Hock, Robinson, IL, Melinda and Travis Lewis, Robinson, IL, Jessica Dunlap, Fairfield, IL; four grandchildren, Alexia Worstell, Kody Lewis, Jack Daniel Goff Jr. and Kaitlynn Wiseman; a brother, Lawrence Yargus Jr., Danville, IL and a sister, Carolyn Yargus.

The Funeral Service will be Friday June 8, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL with Rev. T.R. Akers officiating.  Visitation will be Friday June 8 from 10:00 AM until time of services at 12:00 noon at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL.  Burial will be in the Palestine City Cemetery, Palestine, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the Connie A. Dunlap Memorial Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Connie. I worked with her at Jakel Motors for several years. She was a very fun loving and hard working woman. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family at this time.

We are heartbroken to hear of Connie’s passing. She was a good friend and loyal and dependable employee. We will certainly miss her in many ways.
