Sending love and blessings over the Fleek family in Crawford County, IL from Orange County, CA this week. What a wonderful legacy Alva Fleek leaves. I was on the cusp of coming to Illinois to meet Alva and other family members being that I had just found out he was still in Illinois 2 weeks ago; I've been researching my Grandpa Ted's family history from the 1st Fleek, (Johann Heinrich van Vliek) who came from Holland to America down to Alva's father, Alva Garrison Sr. and Ted's dad, Albert Garrison--2 of 5 brothers and 2 sisters...a large and colorful family of original Licking Township settlers.

There is a package of old photos I had prepared for Alva that I sent to Mr. Philip Fleek. I hope that the photos might bring a bit of joy to your hearts at this time of loss.

With love, Cherie
