Mr. Larry “Jack” Hightshoe, age 79, of Hutsonville, IL, died Tuesday May 24, 2016 at 1:20 PM at Casey Health Care, Casey, IL, following a long period of declining health.

Born September 30, 1936 in Robinson, IL, he was the son of Clifford and Ella (Baker) Hightshoe.  On May 11, 1990 he married Cleo Lynn (Chapman) and she survives.

Jack retired as a pipefitter in 1996 from Plumbers and Steamfitters, Local #157, as a 47 year member.  He was a member of the Amvets Post #33 and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #3329.  

Jack spent a lot of his time on the Wabash River Fishing.  This was one of his favorite things to do.  He loved his family and his Cleo with everything he had.  He was and will always be loved by his family and everyone that knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Cleo L. Hightshoe, Hutsonville, IL; sons and daughters-in-law, Leslie and Mary Hightshoe, Hutsonville, IL; Cory and Erin Wartsbaugh, Oblong, IL; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Wheatley, Owensboro, KY; Denise McKinley, Robinson, IL; Cheryl and Steven Osborn, Palestine, IL; Christy and Cliff Scott, Sarasota, FL; brothers and sister-in-law, Bill and Anita Hightshoe, Brazil, IN; Tom Hightshoe, Seaburg, MI; sisters, Patricia Martin, Effingham, IL; Judy Meiring, Martinsville, IL; Sandy Draper, Sullivan, IN along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; an infant son, Jeffrey Franklin Hightshoe; two sisters, Peggy Zycheck and Phyllis Everest.

In accordance with Mr. Hightshoe’s wishes, his body will be cremated and there are no services planned.
