Mr. Harry “Nip” Stephens, age 90, of Robinson, IL, died Thursday January 7, 2016 at 8:02 am at his residence of an apparent heart attack.

Born May 10, 1925 in Annapolis, IL, he was the son of Thorton J. and Mabel H. (Wait) Stephens.  On September 20, 1947 he married Roberta (Hart) and she survives.  Harry retired from Briggs Manufacturing after 42 years of service and he was a member of the Eastern Illinois Sportsmans’ Club; a dedicated “Tinkerer” and he loved to fish and hunt.  He and Roberta operated Circle Ceramics for several years and later enjoyed antiques and flea markets.

Survivors include his wife, Roberta Stephens, Robinson, IL; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Rita Stephens, Lewisville, TX; Randy and Becky Stephens, Robinson, IL; Craig Stephens, Plainfield, IN; grandchildren, Richard Stonecipher, Lewisville, TX; Rachel Brown, Lewisville, TX; Kristen and Ken Morrison, West York, IL; Alicia and Kristel Stephens, Lawrenceville, GA; Chris and Jenny Stephens, Tacoma, WA; Whitney and Ryan Anderson, Mt. Pleasant, SC; Jennifer Stephens and Fiance’ Daniel York, Robinson, IL; Anna Stephens, Robinson, IL; Autumn and Louis Gonzalez, Plainfield, IN; Austin Stephens, Long Beach, CA; Camaron Stephens, Oakland, CA; Camille Stephens, Logan, UT; Chandler Stephens, Plainfield, IN; twelve great-grandchildren and three-great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Jean Bell, Robinson, IL; Clemma Stephens, Maple Woods, MN and Marilyn Hoke, Robinson, IL.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers and sisters-in-law, Denzil and Ruth Stephens; Jean Stephens; Orlin and Francis Stephens; sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Lloyd Gower.

Funeral service will be Wednesday January 13, 2016 at 1:30 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL, with Rev. Stephen Gillet officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday January 12, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL.  Burial will follow funeral service at the Dugan Cemetery, Licking Township, Crawford County, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation with envelopes available at the funeral home.

My brother and I are sadden by the loss of Uncle Nip, but happy in knowing he has joined Orlin, Denzil, Gladys and Jean in Heaven. May your faith in the promise of Jesus Christ help to support your family in this time of grief.

We are so sorry to hear of Uncle Nips passing. It was great seeing him at our reunion in Sept.He was a very special person. we are in Arizona and will be unable to attend the service.Our prayers to Roberta and the family. Love from Larry and Imogene

To the Stephens family,So sorry for your loss.Harry was a good man.I can remember when brother Don and I would bring our bikes down to the house and race Craig in the woods .Those were good times.Your folks were great to be around.
