Carlos, Please accept my sincere sympathies to you and your family in your time of loss. It is extremely strange and sad that I just recently was trying to find Mary Ann, and was not able to do so. She was such a sweetheart, and we had some really good times together. She was kindof like a younger sister to me during our softball years. I am glad that she was able to reach out and obtain the goals that she had often spoken about. May she rest in peace, and I hope you realize that there are many of us who loved her dearly and will miss her. God bless.

I am so very sorry to hear about Mary Ann. As I have told everyone, she was one of my earliest friends and playmates. I remember many days of playing at one another's houses and walking part way home from Jefferson School. We used to love riding our bikes and playing in the open lot right down from your house. Last time at was at my mother's house I took a walk and walked up by your old house and reminisced about our fun times playing there.2 I think the last time I saw her was at a reunion many years ago at the Robinson Elks. I enjoyed talking with her then. I know losing a child is so very difficult no matter how old that child may be. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this time.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Mary Ann played softball with my Mom, Rose Ridgway, and two of my sisters. I was the bat girl for the team then. Several years later she substitute taught me at Hutsonville High School. Deepest sympathy.

Dear Carlos,
Mary Ann was a very special person. One of her hallmark traits was an outgoing and genuinely caring manner. As a family friend, we always looked forward to time spent with Mary Ann. As a coach and teacher, she was supportive, motivating, and fun.
Did you remember that she holds a special place in history? She was the first girl's basketball and softball coach at Palestine High School. Also memorable was the fact that the Pioneer Softball Team, in it's inaugural season, won the Regional title, and were not eliminated until the Sectional championship game. She and Coach Raymond Biggs took talent (and maybe a few egos?) from three summer teams and fused us into a winning team. What a memorable experience that was for us all.
Heartfelt condolences to you, Mary Ann was well loved and will be missed.

To Mary Ann's family:

My sympathies on your loss. It was so sudden and unexpected. I met her probably 20 years ago when I lived just 5 houses down from her place. I'll always remember her keeping one of the most well kept yards on the block. We were casual friends and I got her to attend my church regularly. She knew the Lord and I trust she walks with him.

So sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Mary Ann. Memories are precious and I remember all the good times we spent during the weekend camping of the Cold Foot Campers. May God comfort and give you & your families the peace needed during this time. I have not seen Mary Ann for years, but in the picture she looks so much like her mother, Nina. Again, may God Bless & comfort each of you.

My condolences to Mary's family and friends. Mary's death brought much anguish and tears; however, may you draw comfort that our loving Creator feels and sees your pain, and is eager to comfort you and mend your crushed heart. (Psalm 51:17). Over time please draw comfort from the memories you shared and also in God's promise of the grand resurrection.

Cathy & I met Mary Ann at bowling and became fast friends when we discovered she was a Indianapolis Colts fan too. She was such a hoot! Just know she will be missed dearly. A "good times" toast to you, my dear friend...

Mary were one-of-a-kind ! And, I loved you for it! Our summers playing for Norm's Aces were the best. And, we got double enjoyment, as we were also teammates at EIU in softball and basketball. You were an awesome outfielder-- but, an even more awesome friend. I can still hear that infectious laugh of yours. I pray tonight that you are resting in the arms of our beloved Lord Jesus. Love you, Buddy..................Ter
