Mrs. Rosa J. Harvey, age 86, of Robinson, Illinois and formerly of Casey, Illinois, died Monday September 8, 2014 at 6:30 PM at Heritage Health Therapy & Senior Care, Robinson, Illinois, following several months of very poor health.

Born December 15, 1927 in Centralia, Illinois, she was the daughter of Michele and Antonia (Desiderio) Cerutti.  On March 16, 1949 she married James A. Harvey and he preceded her in death March 23, 1988.

Rosa worked as a telephone operator in Robinson, Casey and Centralia, Illinois.  She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church, Robinson, Illinois; she volunteered many years in the gift shop at Crawford Memorial Hospital where she made hundreds of “scrubbies”.  Rosa was also an exceptional seamstress and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.  She was a trustworthy and caring friend, beloved mother and wife.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, James M. and Patty Harvey, Salisbury, MO; daughters and son-in-law, Debra Crocker, Robinson, IL; Kathy and Roy Parisher, LaPorte, TX; six grandchildren and spouses; Aaron and Jennifer Crocker, Highland, IL; Layne and Kristoffer Brown, Evansville, IN; Kala Harvey, St. Louis, MO; Travis Harvey, Columbia, MO; Joshua and Erica Parisher, College Station, TX and Caleb Parisher, LaPorte, TX; step great granddaughters, Molly and Maggie and great grandson, Wyatt.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, James A. Harvey, 1988; sister, Catherine Ferrarini and three brothers, Michele Cerutti, Joseph Cerutti and John Cerutti.  

Funeral service will be Saturday September 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL, with Rev. Bessie Adams officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Newlin Cemetery, North of Robinson, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Robinson Food Pantry or Robinson Township Library General Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.
