Mr. Forrest M. “Frosty” Wheeler, age 87, of Archer, FL, formerly of Robinson, IL, died Sunday April 14, 2013 at 11:00 PM at Haven Hospice of Chiefland, Chiefland, FL, following a period of declining health.

Born May 22, 1925 in Robinson, IL, he was the son of Sylvan S. and Lula (Tyhurst) Wheeler.  On May 22, 1947 he married Delores D. (Dennis) who died August 19, 2007.  He later married Mary (Rapp) and she survives.  Frosty was retired from Marathon Oil Company; worked as a Route Delivery Person for Wyles Pharmacy, Gainesville, FL; served in the U.S. Marine Corps, Pacific Theatre, WWII; member of the 1st Baptist Church, Archer, FL; F & AM Lodge #197, Archer, FL and the Antique Car Cruise-in-club, Archer, FL.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary (Rapp) Wheeler, Archer, FL; daughters, Wendy (Darlene) and Steve Jacobs, Shoals, IN; Brenda Wheeler and Jeff Jockisch, Westfield, IN; stepchildren, Sherry and Don Roberts, Gainesville, FL; Dallas Wilkie, Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren,Jeff and Jenni Jacobs, Bloomington, IL; Kevin and Jessi Jacobs, Avon, IN; Eric and Alison Stansifer, Columbus, IN; Carla Stansifer and Dan Brown, Boulder, CO; six great-grandchildren, Zachary Jacobs; Kiley Jacobs; Owen Stansifer; Brigitte Brown; Caleb Jacobs; Silas Jacobs; brother & sister-in-law, William "Bill" and Sharon Wheeler, Archer, FL; a sister, Mary E. (Peg) Butler, Robinson, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Delores Wheeler in 2007, brother, Richard Wheeler in February 2013 and a brother-in-law, Lloyd Butler.

Graveside services will be Saturday April 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, IL, with Dr. Joanne Lindstrom officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.  Military Graveside Rites by Crawford County Veteran's Posts.

Memorial donations may be made to the 1st Baptist Church, Archer, FL, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
