Life Legacy

On February 9, 2013, at 11:48 am, Vicki Lynn Dart Inboden, of Yale, Illinois, formerly of Oblong, Illinois, was called home to her Lord and Savior after a courageous battle with cancer.

Vicki was born on March 8, 1967, in Robinson, Illinois, and was the daughter of Robert L. and Beverly (Nagle) Dart. She graduated from Oblong High School in 1985, and joined the United States Army in 1986. Vicki served her country until 1989 and had been stationed in Korea as a code breaker and then was assigned to Virginia to finish her time in the service. She was employed as a line employee with Hershey in Robinson, Illinois for 14 years. Vicki was a member of the Hunt City Congregational Christian Church, Hunt City, Illinois.

On July 10, 2011, she formed a civil union with her partner Steve Bell of Yale, Illinois, who survives. She is also survived by her parents, her children Desirae and Dillon Inboden and a granddaughter Gracie Lynn Inboden, all of Oblong, Illinois; Steve's children Amber and Kevin Farris, Paris, Illinois and Thomas Bell of Oblong, Illinois; a sister and brother-in-law Lisa and John McCoy of Robinson, Illinois; brother and sister-in-law Vance and Beth Dart of Oblong, Illinois; nephew Cody and Laci Pethtel of Bellair, Illinois; niece Megan and Tim Fuller of Palestine, Illinois; great niece Colbi Pethtel of Bellaire, Illinois; great-nephews Elijah and Owen Fuller of Palestine, Illinois; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

There will be a casual social gathering of music and memories for friends and family on Saturday February 16, 2013 from 11:00 am till 1:00 pm at Kibbie Kabin Reception Hall, 14437 N. 100th St. Oblong, Illinois. Kibbie Kabin is located north of Oblong near White Oak Church.

Following the social gathering at 1:00 pm, there will be a Celebration of Vicki's Life with Brother Phil Boyd officiating. In lieu of flowers, Vicki requested donations be made to Lincolnland Hospice, Carle Care or Hunt City Congregational Christian Church Youth Group.

Envelopes will be available at Kibbie Kabin or may be mailed to Pulliam Funeral Home P.O. Box 121 Oblong, Illinois.
