Mrs. Janice Lynn Stephens, age 55, of Annapolis, Illinois, died Thursday January 7, 2010 at 1:30 am at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, Illinois, following a recent hospitalization and lingering illness. She was born May 30, 1954 in Robinson, Illinois, the daughter of Nelson and Audrey (Catt) Rich. On May 7, 1976 she married Roger Stephens and he survives. Janice was employed as a Dietary Assistant for Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home and as a Candy Packer for Hershey Chocolate in Robinson, Illinois and was a member of the Oak Ridge Methodist Church, Flat Rock, Illinois.

Survivors include her husband Roger Stephens, Annapolis, Illinois; mother, Audrey Rich, Lawrenceville, Illinois; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn Stephens and Penny Snearly, Robinson, Illinois; daughter, Heather Stephens, Annapolis, Illinois; five grandchildren, Haylea Stephens, Brooke Hartbank, Brandon Hartbank, Jacob Feezel-Myers, Christopher Feezel-Myers; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Ruth Rich, Robinson, Illinois, Steve and Connie Rich, Hardinville, Illinois, John and Tammi Rich, Ontario, Canada, Gary and Lou Rich, Palestine, Illinois; sisters, Brenda Price, Robinson, Illinois and Kim Smith, Robinson, Illinois; Brothers-in-law and spouses, Stanley and Diane Stephens, Hutsonville, Illinois, Larry and Imogene Stephens, LaPorte, Indiana, Robert and Martha Stephens, Oblong, Illinois, Martin and Birdie Stephens, Annapolis, Illinois, Phillip and Janie Stephens, Batesville, Indiana, Gilbert and Mary Stephens, Hutsonville, Illinois, Lois Harris, Robinson, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her father, Nelson Rich; brother-in-law, Jerry Price; nephew, Billy L. Rich; brother-in-law, Jamie Stephens, sister-in-law, Vickie Stephens.

Funeral services were Monday January 11, 2010 at 10:30 am with Bro. Randy Nave officiating. Visitation was Sunday January 10, 2010 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, Illinois. Burial was in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, rural Annapolis, Illinois. Memorial contributions were given to the American Diabetes Association.
