Life Legacy

Mr. Ralph W. Faught, age 82 or Robinson, Illinois, died Monday March 7, 2011 at 1:56 pm at the Crawford County Convalescent Center, Robinson, Illinois. He was born August 11, 1928 in Hunt City Township, Jasper County, Illinois, the son of Ira Clone and Launa (Race) Faught. On September 4, 1952 he married Rosalie (Clement) and she preceded him in death in June of 1992. He retired in 1986 as a truck driver for Refiner's Transport, Inc., Robinson, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict; was a member of the Robinson V.F.W. Post #4549; the Model T. Ford Club of America and enjoyed restoring his Model T; building guns and working in the yard.

Ralph is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bill and Tina Faught, Oblong, Illinois, Jim Faught, Vernon, Illinois; two daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie Jo and John Ferrer, Portsmouth, Virginia, Mary and Robbie Miller, Robinson, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Christopher Ferrer, Darby Ferrer, Mark Leshley, Grace Heller, Jackie Dunlap, William Faught and Harley Faught; eight great-grandchildren, Jessi Ferrer, Lyrik Ferrer, Winter Ferrer, Aiden Ferrer, Lily Ferrer, Cameron Ferrer, Daniel Heller, Zoe Utley and one on the way in May.; along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday March 10, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, Illinois, with the funeral service Friday March 11, 2011 at 10:00 am at the funeral home in Oblong. Full military rites conducted by the Oblong American Legion Post #219. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery, rural Jasper County, Illinois. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a contribution to the Oblong American Legion.
