Life Legacy

Mrs. Eileen Stantz, age 92, of Arnold, Missouri, formerly of Oblong, Illinois, died Monday March 28, 2011 at 11:03 am at her residence in Missouri. She was born in Porterville, Illinois on May 23, 1918, the daughter of Carl and Devannah (Morris) Burner. On June 4, 1938, she married Charles Lee Stantz in the Robinson Post Office, Robinson, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1994. She was employed as a receptionist for Dr. Brooks in Robinson, Illinois for many years. Eileen was a member of the Crestwood Christian Church, Sunset Hills, Missouri and a former member of the First Christian Church, Oblong, Illinois. She was a graduate of Robinson High School, Class of 1936; a 50 year member of the Katherine Chapter #639 OES, Robinson, Illinois. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, tatting, sewing and she was an avid QVC Shopper.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Jack Doty, Arnold, Missouri; a granddaughter and spouse, Karla Kay and Joseph Thomas Patrick McKeirnan, Sunset Hills, Missouri; two great granddaughters, Kaitlin Lee McKeirnan and Kendal Kay McKeirnan, both of Sunset Hills, Missouri. Preceding her in death, her Parents; Husband, Charles; two sisters, Twila (Burner) Burris and Verdi (Burner) Mitchell.

Funeral service will be Thursday March 31, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, Illinois with Bro. Dee Wolfe officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children with envelopes available at the funeral home.
