Life Legacy

Michael Paul Clauss, Jr., age 38 of Flat Rock, Illinois, was pronounced dead Tuesday July 12, 2011 at 6:21 pm at the VA Medical Center in Danville, Illinois, after becoming ill at home.
He was born January 13, 1973 in Robinson, Illinois, the son of Michael Paul Clauss Sr. and Christine I. (Watts) Clauss. Michael was employed by Hershey Chocolate Plant, Robinson, Illinois, as a Utility Man in the mixing department; served in the U.S. Air Force from 1991 to 1994 and was a member of the Pearl Chapel Methodist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Michael P. and Christine Clauss, Sr., Flat Rock, Illinois; a half brother and spouse, Jeff and Jerri Shyrock of Tennessee; a half sister, Lori Fear of Robinson, Illinois; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Paul Clauss; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Opal Davis; maternal grandparents, John and Rosetta Watts; six uncles and two aunts.
There will be cremation with private family graveside services at the Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, Illinois.
Memorial donations may be made to the Veteran's Transportation Fund, VFW Post #4549, Robinson, Illinois, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
