Mrs. Florence Thelma Elliott, age 102, of 306 South Walters Street, Robinson, Illinois, died Tuesday December 20, 2011 at 11:55 pm at her residence in Robinson, Illinois, following several years of declining health.

Florence was born October 11, 1909 in Orange Township, Clark County, Illinois, the daughter of William P. and Editha (Mills) Chesser. On August 16, 1947 she married Ralph Elliott and he preceded her in death on November 21, 1993. She was a homemaker and a member of Willow Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Elliott was dearly loved by all of her family.

Survivors include a Niece and Caregiver and Spouse, Margaret and Walt Connor and her Caregiver, Kelly Johnson and several nieces and nephews; along with a brother Ernest Chesser, Galien, Michigan. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ralph Elliott; brother, Hubert Chesser; sisters, Myra Smith, Mary Misner, Julia Bell Simpson; nephews, Kirk Simpson and Roger Chesser.

Funeral Services will be Friday December 23, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, Illinois with visitation from 12:00 noon until time of services at 2:00 pm at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, Illinois with Pastor Kevin Small officiating. Burial will be in the Butternut Cemetery, rural Martinsville, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to the Willow Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.

June Chesser Breen

Only a few months ago I received a lovely letter from Florence for my 90th birthday. She was a kind and thoughtful person. As a child I have many memories of her. She was always smiling and always soft spoken. My prayers and thoughts are with the family.
