Richard D. "Dick" Myers, age 71, of Robinson, Illinois, died Friday January 13, 2012 at the Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong, Illinois. He was born May 17, 1940 in the Calhoun Area, Richland County, Illinois, the son of Charles T. and Eva (Johnson) Myers. From March 1958 to 1967 Richard was married to Barbara (Dean); from 1968 to 1990, Barbara "Barbie" (Rich); and from 1993 to 2001, Linda (Keith) Brown. He was a member of the Prior Grove Baptist Church, rural Oblong, Illinois; he graduated from East Richland High School, Class of 1958; past Exaltent Ruler Robinson Elks Lodge #1188; White Squirrels Motorcycle Club; ABATE Motorcycle Club. Dick enjoyed camping; motorcycles; gardening and just loved to be outdoors.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Steven R. and Paula J. Myers, Oblong, Illinois; daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy S. Price, Oblong, Illinois; Gina K. Smith Carmel, Indiana; grandchildren, Tyler and Carolyn Price, Newburgh, Indiana, Emily Price, Oblong, Illinois, Austin and Colin Smith, Carmel, Indiana, and Lewis and Harlei Myers; great grandson, Lincoln Charles Price, Newburgh, Indiana; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenny Myers, Olney, Illinois; Dewey and Karen Myers, Columbus, North Carolina; Dorothy and John McDowell, Calhoun, Illinois; Betty Brammeier, Tellico Plains, Tennessee; Conni Stevens, Land O'Lakes, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday January 16, 2012 at 10:30 am at Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, Illinois, with Bro. Jeff Moroney and Pastor Rusty Morecraft officiating. There will then be a graveside service Monday at 2:00 pm at the Houser Cemetery in rural Richland County, Illinois. Visitation will be Sunday January 15, 2012 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, Illinois. A Elks Memorial Service will follow the visitation on Sunday. Memorial donations may be made to the Prior Grove Baptist Church or the Robinson Elks Lodge #1188, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
