Life Legacy

Mrs. Shirley D. Wilkins, age 71, of Robinson, Illinois, died Saturday January 21, 2012 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born in Bunker, Missouri, September 20, 1940, the daughter of Lebert A. "DOC" Wilkins and Frances Dora (Lowrance) Wilkins. In 1968 she married Walter Julius Morrison and he preceded her in death. She later married Ed Waldrop in 1973 and he preceded her in death in 1998. Shirley was a Coil Tester for Crawford Electronics; Assembler for Robinson Manufacturing (Ettlebrick Shoe Factory) and Coil Winder for TRW in Marshall, Illinois. Was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Palestine, Illinois and the VFW Auxiliary, Robinson, Illinois.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Joe and Amanda Wilkins, with the USAF, Aurora, Colorado; a daughter and son-in-law, Jo Etta and Donald Mudd, Evansville, Indiana; Grandchildren, Kenny and Malinda Daugherty, Godfrey, Illinois, Brandon and Crystal Mudd, Mt. Carmel, Illinois and Kiergon and Gannon Wilkins, Aurora, Colorado; along with several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter, Carol Jean Wilkins; brothers, Amel Wilkins, Delmar W. "Bud" Wilkins, Bobby Gene Wilkins and sisters, Chloe Wilkins and Joy Brock.

Twilight Memorial Services will be Thursday January 26, 2012 at 7:00 pm at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, Illinois with visitation from 5:00 pm until time of services at 7:00 pm. Bro. Gary Lee Brock will be officiating. Interment of Cremated Remains will be in the Hardinville Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Shirley D. Wilkins Memorial Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.
