Margaret J. Crosby, age 91, of Robinson, Illinois, died Wednesday March 7, 2012 at 11:00 pm at Kindred Hospital, Sycamore, Illinois, following a lengthy illness. She was born August 29, 1920 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Ernest and Ruth (Cox) Denney. Margaret was a graduate of Colchester High School and Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. She was retired from Robinson High School where she was a Home Economics Teacher; was a member of Quail Creek Country Club, Robinson, Illinois; Bridge Club and the Retired Teachers Association. On June 25, 1944, she married Merle E. Crosby, a History Teacher and Robinson High School Coach. Merle preceded Margaret in death July 25, 1983.

Survivors include a daughter, Miss Margo Crosby, Robinson, Illinois; several nieces and nephews, Barbara Branson Miedema, Indianapolis, Indiana; Dianne Branson Downing, Raleigh, North Carolina; Barbara Denney, Chicago, Illinois; Jeffrey Denney, Colchester, Illinois. Great nieces, Angela Austin, Emily Miedema and Amy Jo Pitts. Great nephews, Blake Denney, Kirk Denney, Matthew Denney, Matthew Downing, Jeffrey Miedema and Jonathan Miedema. Great-great niece, Crosby Pitts and Great-great nephews, Jack Austin, Reese Austin, Brycen Denney and Charlie Pitts.

Funeral services will be Sunday march 11, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, Illinois with visitation Sunday from 1:00 PM until time of services at 3:00 PM. There will be a graveside service on Monday March 12, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Colchester, Illinois.

Memorial donations may be made to the Merle E. Crosby Scholarship fund at Robinson High School, Robinson, Illinois.
