Mr. Max Randall Mashburn, age 50, of Trimble, Illinois, died Thursday March 22, 2012 at his residence following several months of battling cancer. Max was born February 1, 1962 in Blytheville, Arkansas, the son of Jimmie Paul and Bevela Ann (Cochran) Mashburn. On July 9, 1953 he married Kathy (McMahan) Mashburn and she survives. He was employed as a carpenter for M & M Construction, Cartersville, Georgia; Self Employed Carpenter, Smyrna, Georgia and a supervisor at Action Steel, Indianapolis, Indiana. Max served in the US Air Force, was a member of the Wesleyan Church, Robinson, Illinois; State of Indiana Operations Manager for Indiana Housing Authority, Indianapolis, Indiana; Robinson Manufacturing (Ettlebrick Shoe Factory) Robinson, Illinois.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Mashburn, Trimble, Illinois; step-mother, Peggy Mashburn, Tullahoma, Tennessee; sons, Max R. Mashburn, Jr., Estel Spring, Tennessee, Tony Mashburn, Arkansas; daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Jason Stout of Missouri; three step-sons, Benjamin and Amy Robbins, Presque Isle, Maine, Nicholas Robbins, Presque Isle, Maine, Mackey and Melissa Collins, Robinson, Illinois; a step-daughter, Kaylee Wilbur, Robinson, Illinois; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Tina Mashburn, Clarksville, Tennessee, Brad and Serena Mashburn, Estel Springs, Tennessee; sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Bill Delph, Cartersville, Georgia; step-sisters, Theresa Brewer and Ricky Morris, Belvedere, Tennessee, Tina and Josh Smith, Tullahoma, Tennessee; grandchildren Kristen, Aden Collins and Oliver King along with several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his father, Jimmie Paul Mashburn; mother, Bevela Ann Mashburn; brother, Anthony Paul Mashburn and sister Bevela Jean Meese.

Twilight Funeral Service will be Friday March 30, 2012 at 7:00 pm at the Robinson Wesleyan Church, 503 East Hazel Street, Robinson, Illinois with Pastor Dan Szombathy officiating. Fellowship with family and friends from 5:00 pm until time of services at 7:00 pm in the church fellowship hall. There will be cremation with interment of cremated remains at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Robinson Wesleyan Church, 503 E. Hazel Street, Robinson, Illinois.
