Mr. Robert D. Littlejohn, age 80, of Robinson, Illinois, died Saturday November 3, 2012 at his residence following several months of failing health. Born January 20, 1932 in Robinson, Illinois, the son of Adron and Hazel Merl (McQuistion) Littlejohn Hornbeck. On March 12, 1955 he married Delilah I. Johnson and she preceded him in death November 6, 2010. Mr. Littlejohn was a caster for Briggs Plumbingware in Robinson, Illinois for 39 years retired in 1994; served as a Sgt. in the U.S. Army in the Korean war; graduated Robinson Township High School in the class of 1950; was a member of E.M. Coulter Post #69, American Legion, Robinson, Illinois and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #4549, Robinson, Illinois.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Twyla Littlejohn, Robinson, Illinois; Charles and Faith Littlejohn, Flat Rock, Illinois; daughters and sons-in-law, Diana Treat, Robinson, Illinois; Teresa and Mike Churchwell, Russelville, Illinois; Brenda and Ron Neely, Robinson, Illinois; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Barbara Littlejohn, Robinson, Illinois; Bill and Betty Littlejohn, Olney, Illinois; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sara Cheek, Asheville, North Carolina; Martha Davenport, Sparta, Wisconsin; Marie Gutzmer, Madison, Wisconsin; Margaret Suhr, Montgomery, Alabama; Adrienne Howe, Jersey City, New Jersey; Mary Johnson, Sumter, South Carolina; Marian Amundson, Cashton, Wisconsin; Myrna Quist, Tomah, Wisconsin; Sister-in-law, Mickey Johnson, Lawton, Oklahoma; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren, plus one on the way; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Delilah Littlejohn; a son, Steven B. Littlejohn, 1987; a brother, Warren Littlejohn, 2006; two grandchildren, Samantha Churchwell and Shawn Churchwell in 2001; a great grandson, Sebastian Dale Clayton in 2005.

There will be private family graveside services at 2:00 pm on Tuesday November 6, 2012 at the Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, Illinois with Brother Bob McCarter officiating. The family will have a private visitation from 12:00 noon until time of the graveside services on Tuesday November 6, 2012, at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to the Veteran's Transportation Fund, VFW Post 4549, Robinson, IL or Lincolnland Hospice, 1004 Healthcenter Drive, Suite 202, Mattoon, Illinois 61938, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
