Mrs. Dorsey G. Wheeler, age 94, of Robinson, Illinois, died Friday November 30, 2012 at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home, Robinson, Illinois. Born April 24, 1918, in Crawford County, Illinois, she was the daughter of Samuel Lee and Teenia (Eveland) McCormick. On March 25, 1935 she married Paul Edward Wheeler and he preceded her in death April 2, 2008.

For 40 years Dorsey was a self-employed day care operator - Dorsey's Day Care Center, Robinson, Illinois; was a member of the Robinwood Assembly of God Church, Robinson, Illinois and attended Dayspring Full Gospel Church, Trimble, Illinois.

Survivors include two nephews and spouses, Larry and Rozan McCormick, Trimble, Illinois; David and Leona McCormick, Robinson, Illinois; nephew Tim Batman, Lakeland, Florida; a; niece and caregiver, Marjorie Osborn, Robinson, Illinois; niece and spouse, Cindy and T.J. Collins, Pinellas Park, Florida; niece, Mrs. Rosalee Culp, Palestine, Illinois; niece Sheryl and Dan Cleaves, Dyersburg, Tennessee; brother-in-law, Gordon K. Wheeler, Alanson, Michigan and several great nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Paul Edward Wheeler in 04/02/2008; a son, Ronald Wheeler, 1/16/2003; two brothers, Arthur McCormick and Burl McCormick; four sisters, Ethel Bennett, Edna Smith, Dessie Mills and Nora Batman; an infant brother, Russell and an infant sister, Alma Ruth.

Graveside Services will be conducted Wednesday December 5, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Robinson Old Cemetery, Robinson, Illinois with Rev. Larry McCormick officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm at the Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to the Dayspring Full Gospel Church, Trimble, Illinois, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
