Mr. David W. Stewart

David W. Stewart, age 63, of Robinson, Illinois, died Sunday January 6, 2013 at 7:40 AM at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois, following a brief illness.

Born August 13, 1949 in Robinson, Illinois, he was the son of William "Bill" and Joan (Martin) Stewart. He married Nancy Blankenbecker and she survives. David was employed by Marathon Oil Company - Robinson Refinery-Hydraulic De-Coking Engineer, retiring in 2008.

Memberships include Otterbein United Methodist Church, Robinson, Illinois; BPO Elks #1188, Robinson, Illinois; Robinson Masonic Lodge #250 AF & AM; Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Danville; AINAD Shrine Temple, Valley of St. Louis, East St. Louis, Illinois; Sons of the American Legion, Post #69, Robinson, Illinois and Loyal Order of the Moose.

Survivors are his wife, Nancy Stewart, Robinson, Illinois; mother, Mrs. Joan Stewart, Robinson, Illinois; sons and daughters-in-law, William L. "Bill" and Elsie Stewart, Davis, California; James "Jim" and Brook Stewart, Robinson, Illinois; Frank Stewart, Robinson, Illinois; brother and sister-in-law, Rodney and Linda Stewart, Robinson, Illinois; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Jo "Bobbie" and Randy Schutte, Robinson, Illinois; three grandchildren, Addison and Keeley Stewart, Robinson, Illinois; Benjamin David Stewart, Davis, California; nephew and spouse, Stewart and Emily Schutte, Robinson, Illinois; nieces and spouses, Jaymie and Abe Mikeworth, Robinson, Illinois; Lindsay and Eric Schmidt, Libertyville, Illinois; Morgan and Chad Westrick, Bloomington, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" Stewart and aunt, Barbara J. Moody.

There will be a Memorial Service conducted at 7:00 PM on Thursday January 10, 2013 at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, Illinois, with Rev. Bessie Adams officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Thursday. There will be Masonic Funeral Rites immediately following the Memorial Service on Thursday January 10, 2013 at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to the ELKS Christmas Basket Committee in memory of David Stewart, longtime Chairman of the Christmas Basket Committee.
