Matt was born and raised in the small Southeastern Illinois town of Eldorado. After High School he attended Southeastern Illinois College, Harrisburg, IL and then transferred to Southern Illinois University, Carbondale where he graduated from the Mortuary Science and Funeral Service program.
Matt has worked at funeral homes in Central Illinois including Champaign and LeRoy. He spent 21 years serving the communities of LeRoy, Farmer City, Heyworth, Saybrook and Mansfield. In 2020, in an effort to be closer to his family that now live in Evansville, IN and Louisville, KY, Matt moved to Casey/Martinsville where he worked for four years before joining Pulliam Funeral Homes in the summer of 2024. Matt can typically be found at the Oblong Funeral Home.
When not working Matt enjoys hunting and fishing. Though he hasn’t been hunting recently he does take a couple trips a year to go Crappie fishing with his father in Mississippi. He also enjoys his main companion, Cobie, his German Shorthaired Pointer.

Micah W. Fryman is a dedicated funeral professional with 32 years of experience in the industry. Born and raised in the Village of West Salem, Illinois, he pursued his passion for mortuary science at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, earning his degree in the field.
Micah’s career began in Illinois, where he worked at funeral homes in Carlinville and Litchfield before relocating to Colorado. In Colorado, he gained extensive experience serving funeral homes in Grand County and Adams County before establishing his own successful trade service business, which provided support to numerous funeral homes across the state. After several prosperous years, he sold the business and returned to Illinois, continuing his work in Peoria, Springfield, Bloomington, Charleston, and Casey. In October 2024, he joined Pulliam Funeral Home, serving the communities of Oblong and Robinson, Illinois.
Beyond his professional commitments, Micah is an avid automotive enthusiast. He enjoys working on exotic cars, riding motorcycles, and traveling to car shows across the country.
Alana Bean
Office Manager
Alana has worked as the Office Manager at Pulliam’s in Oblong since 2016. She was born and raised in Oblong and graduated from Oblong High School. She is married to Zachary Bean, and they live in Oblong with their four daughters Aurora, Camryn, Brylynn, and Dakota. Alana enjoys spending time with her kids and family. She loves to travel, especially if it is to the beach and her girls’ softball games. When she has free time, she loves to read, listen to music, watch movies, and be outside.
