MRS. FLORENCE T. SCHLOSSER

Mrs. Florence T. Schlosser, of Robinson, IL, passed away Tuesday September 26, 2017 at 12:45 AM at the Magnolia Center, Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL, following several weeks of failing health.

Born August 1, 1936 in Effingham, IL she was the daughter of Joseph A. and Nettie (Hippler) Beasler.  On July 29, 1972, she married Roy A. Schlosser and he survives.

Florence worked at the Pro Shop, Oak Glenn Golf Course, Robinson, IL for twelve years and at First National Bank in Robinson, IL for several years.  She was a member of the Oak Glennetts and the Women’s League Quail Creek Country Club, Robinson, IL.

Survivors include her husband, Roy A. Schlosser, Robinson, IL; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Brenda (Metz) Henry, Ashland, KY; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet (Henry) and David Whikehart, Findlay, OH; five grandchildren, Jared and Sarah Henry, Caleb and Ashley Henry, Josiah and Chelsea Henry, Chelsea Whikehart, Alexander Whikehart; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Henry, Hannah Henry and Ambrose Henry; sisters and brother-in-law, Lena Richardson, Newton, IL and Alice and Norman Bailey, Winter Haven, FL; two sisters-in-law and spouses, Donna and Mark Jacobs, Oblong, IL, Linda and Dick McCoy Manchester, MO along with several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a step-dad, Frank Seibert; sister in infancy, JoAnn Cecelia Beasler and a brother-in-law, Paul Schlosser.

The funeral service will be held on Friday September 29, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL with Rev. Jared Henry officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday September 28, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will follow funeral services in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the Crawford County Spay and Neuter foundation with envelopes available at the funeral home.

To the Schlosser and Henry Families,

Larry and I would like to express our condolences on the loss of Florence. We can imagine she was a woman of God and a great example for all. Gary, you are a wonderful man of God! Our hearts are heavy at this time. There is also the celebration of her life and how she has touched so many people. Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this time.
