RICHARD WINSTON PRICE, AGE 90

Richard Winston Price, 90, of Robinson, IL passed away on Monday August 21, 2017 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL.  Born in Oblong, IL on July 6, 1927, he was the son of Otis M. and Nina (Maus) Price.  

Richard was a member of the Oblong High School class of 1945 and served in the United States Navy during WWII from 1945 to 1946; he was a graduate of the University of Illinois in 1949 as a Bronze Tablet recipient and was a genealogical researcher, restaurateur and a master gardener.

Survivors include a sister-in-law Blodwyn Price, Oblong, IL;  nephews Kim and Shannon Price, Las Vegas, NV and David Price, Oblong, IL; niece Amy and Jess Angle, Chauncey, IL; great nieces and nephews Ashleigh Figearo, Lindsey Price, Tyler and Carolyn Price, Emily and James Brown, Kevin Angle, Shannon and Brad Dillon;  great-great nieces and nephews Layla Embler, Cole Parker, Lincoln Price, Roman Price, Elliott Price, Jesse Angle, Nikki Angle and Harper Dillon.

Preceding him in death were his parents Otis and Nina Price and a brother Merle Price.

Pursuant to Richard’s wishes, cremation rights have been accorded. A private family service will be held at a later date.

I am so sorry to hear of Richards passing. He had just asked me earlier this spring to help him with a few surnames on his family. Was happy to help him. Also gave me starts from some of his wonderful flowers. Will miss him.
