MR. LARRY G. VAN SCHOYCK, AGE 71

Mr. Larry Gene Van Schoyck, age 71, of Robinson, IL, died Thursday July 28, 2016 at 11:20 PM at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL, following an extended illness.

Born May 21, 1945 in LaPorte, IN, he was the son of Frank E. and Verna (Hardin) Van Schoyck.  He married Vicki (Christy) and she preceded him in death in 2009.

Larry was a driller in oil fields and for water well customers for 54 years.  He attended Prairie Grove Baptist Church, rural Oblong, IL and the New Hebron Baptist Church, New Hebron, IL; was a member of the VFW Auxiliary #4549; Loyal Order of Moose #1369; Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie # 3329, Palestine, IL; Sons of the American Legion Post #69, Robinson, IL.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Ted Eugene and Frankie Van Schoyck, Annapolis, IL; daughters and sons-in-law, Beth Ann and Dale Watts, Robinson, IL; Nicki Lynn and James Hammond, Normal, IL; special friend and partner, Glenda Kohl Girten, Robinson, IL; brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Becky Van Schoyck, Robinson, IL; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Bob Bunting, Belle Glade, FL; Linda and Gene McHugh, Mt. Gilead, OH; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Vicki Van Schoyck, 2009; sister, Carol Van Schoyck; granddaughter, Kayla Watts, 2012.

There will be a Memorial Service held on Wednesday August 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the New Hebron Baptist Church, New Hebron, IL with Bro. Lee Gurley and Bro. Mike Irvin officiating.  There will be a time of visitation from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM at the church. Interment of cremated remains will follow in the Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the Veteran’s Transportation Fund, VFW Post #4549, 712 East Main Street, Robinson, IL 62454.
