MS. MARY KATHRYN “KATHY” GARRARD, AGE 62

Ms. Mary Kathryn “Kathy” Wiseman - Garrard, age 62, of Vandalia, IL, formerly of Robinson and Hutsonville, IL, died Saturday June 25, 2016 at 10:41 AM at Vandalia Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Vandalia, IL, following many months of failing health.

Born February 28, 1954 in Terre Haute, IN, she was the daughter of Charles A. and Mary Frances (Ormiston) Garrard.  

Kathy worked as an LPN for three years at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL; was a bank teller at Farmer’s Merchant’s Bank in Hutsonville, IL and was a member of the 1st Baptist Church, Hutsonville, IL.

Survivors include two sons, Justin S. Guyer, Hutsonville, IL and Joshua James Guyer, Spencer, IN; a grandson, Trevor Guyer, Hutsonville, IL; a brother, Craig Garrard, Hutsonville, IL and a sister, Chery Seigel, Salem, IL.

Preceding her in death were her parents; Paternal Grandparents, Harry & Irene Garrard; Maternal Grandparents, Harry and Glenore “Glen” Ormiston; step-father, Calvin C. Giffin and a niece, Ashley L. Seigel

Funeral service will be held on Thursday June 30, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL, with Bro. Joe Griffith officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday June 29, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL.  Burial will be in the Hutsonville Cemetery, Hutsonville, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, with envelopes available at the funeral home.

I was very saddened to read about Kathy's passing. I didn't know she had been ill. She was one of the sweetest classmates i had. It was always fun to see her on rare occasions in later years. My sympathies to her family.
