MRS. LORNA JANE BROWN, AGE 79

Mrs. Lorna Jane Brown, age 79, of Robinson, IL, died Tuesday May 24, 2016 at 7:40 PM EST at Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, IN, following a recent hospitalization.

Born September 18, 1936 in Robinson, IL, she was the daughter of Lorn F. and Arlene G. (Utterback) Currie.  On November 11, 1955 she married William George Brown, and he survives.

Jane worked as a retail clerk for Walmart, Robinson, IL and was a Bookkeeper for Loyal Order of the Moose #1369, Robinson, IL.  She was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, Robinson, IL; former member of Oak Glenn Golf Course, Robinson; was an avid golfer, bowler and card player and was active in her children’s activities as a Bluebird Leader.

Survivors include her husband, W. George Brown, Robinson, IL; sons and daughter-in-law, Ryan Brown, Danville, IL; Bill David and Sharri Brown, Clarksville, TN; daughters, Lisa Brown, Spokane, WA; daughter and son-in-law, Jana and Mark Martin, Tacoma, WA; daughter and spouse, Gina Brown and Kim Rothstein, Sebastopol, CA; three grandchildren, Lucas Brookbank Brown, Spokane, WA; Audrey Brown, Clarksville, TN; Lindsey Brown, Clarksville, TN, and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and George Malsom.

A Funeral Mass will be conducted Friday May 27, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, Robinson, IL, with Father Allen Kemme officiating. Cremation will follow the Funeral Mass with interment of cremated remains in the Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, IL, on Tuesday May 31, 2016.

will miss Janie, she was a special person. We had some fun times working together. she was always counting the shoes in the dept and would say now why do we need nine pairs of the same shoe in the same size. she was fun to work with. always had me laughing. prayers for the family in this sad time.
