MRS. LILLIE MAE IRELAND, AGE 76

Mrs. Lillie Mae Ireland, age 76, of Robinson, IL, died Saturday May 21, 2016 at her home following a brief battle with cancer.

Born May 6, 1940 in Tivoli, TX, she was the daughter of Manuel and Isabel (Canales) Vela.  On January 7, 1962 she married James “Jim” Ireland, and he survives.

Lillie was a manger of Phillips 66 Sunrise Station, in Robinson, IL until her retirement.  She was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, Robinson, IL.

Survivors include her husband, James Ireland, Robinson, IL; a daughter, Ruthellen Ambrose, Tucson, AZ; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Lori Ireland, Robinson, IL; John and Shelly Ireland, Robinson, IL; her mother-in-law, Theoria Ireland, Robinson, IL; a brother, Saragosa Bela; a sister, Della Love; brothers-in-law, Chuck Ireland, Trimble, IL; Larry and Pam (Ireland) Parker, Flat Rock, IL; grandchildren, Paige Abel, Olney, IL; Danielle Ireland, Mt. Carmel, IL; Heather Ambrose, Tucson, AZ; Rachel Ambrose, Tucson, AZ; Cameron Ireland, Robinson, IL; Preston, Ireland, Robinson, IL; step-grandchildren, Brittney Fuller, Robinson, IL; Levi Crawford, West Union, IL; Justin Crawford, Palestine, IL and three great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Vicente Vela; Frank Vela; Adan Vela; sisters, Dora Guerrero; Julia Trevino and her father-in-law, Maynard Ireland.

The family will have a reception at the Cottage House, on Emmons Street, Robinson, IL, on Thursday May 26, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Crawford County Relay for Life with envelopes available at the reception at the Cottage House and or Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL.

You will be missed by many it's going to be tough stopping by the house and not seeing you. I know your pain free now and that's what keeps me going. I love you so much and I hope to meet you on the other side

James, Lori and Family...So sorry about Lillie. Know this is a rough time for you all but, please know we are here for whatever you need. Just keep good thoughts and memories now as they are such a great comfort. Will never for get Lillies wonderful tamales and tomato jam!!!

The older I get, the more I see your influence in my life. I see your smile in mine. I feel your caring in my own hands as I love my family the way you loved me. I recognize your love and support in all my accomplishments. The best of who I am I owe to you. I hope you know how proud and honored I am to be your daughter!

Thank you for all you did for our family! You were an amazing Mother!!

I will miss your smile, laugh and talking with you every day!! I love you so much Mom!
