MRS. MARY MARLENE (DARNOLD) KINGERY, AGE 79

Mrs. Mary Marlene (Darnold) Kingery, age 79, of Robinson, IL, died Tuesday May 17, 2016 at 11:09 AM of injuries sustained in an automobile accident Tuesday morning.

Born May 29, 1936 in Robinson, IL she was the daughter of Emery and Olive Glenn (Earnheart) Darnold.  On August 29, 1954 she married Clyde H. Kingery Jr.

Marlene was employed at the John Green Store as a retail Clerk and at the P.N. Hirsh Store in Robinson, IL; School Bus Driver for Community Unit #4 School District, Hardinville and Oblong, IL.  After retirement, Marlene babysat and spoiled her grandsons and great grandsons and worked alongside her husband on the farm.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary; the United Neighbors Home Extension; was a celebrated cake maker; and a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, Robinson, IL.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jevell and Phillip Chapman, Willow Hill, IL; two grandsons, Lantz Shidler, Robinson, IL; Lucas and Jami Shidler, Flat Rock, IL; two great grandsons, Clayton Scott Shidler; Brayden Shidler and one on the way; a step-granddaughter, Jolie Chapman, Toledo, IL; a step great grand-son, Vincent Meinhart a special niece, Janet York who made her home with the Kingerys during her high school years; a sister and brother-in-law, Aline and Jack Huddleston, Lake of the Woods, IL along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Clyde H. Kingery, 2016; son-in-law, Scott Shidler, 2007 and a sister, Pauline Reynolds.

Funeral service will be Monday May 23, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL, with Pastor Jeff Brinkman officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday May 22, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL.  Burial will be in the Hardinville Cemetery, Hardinville, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the Great Grandchildren’s Education Fund at First Robinson Savings Bank, Robinson, IL, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
