MRS. IMOGENE MAE CROUCH, AGE 87

Mrs. Imogene Mae Crouch, age 87, of Robinson, IL, died Saturday March 26, 2016 at 7:15 AM at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care in Robinson, IL, following several years of declining health.

Born March 11, 1929 in Prairie Township, Crawford County, IL, she was the daughter of Lester and Goldie (German) Cox.  On October 25, 1948 she married Sammy L. Crouch and he preceded her in death June 20, 1986.

Imogene worked for Thordarsen-Meisner Electronics in Robinson, IL, for 25 years as an assembler.  She was a member of the Bible Chapel Church, rural Robinson, IL.  Many of the children at Kelly’s Kiddy Kollege knew Imogene as “Grandma in the pink house” due to the color of her residence.  In her later years, Imogene worked for older citizens giving care in their homes.  She and Sam enjoyed driving the old Model “A” in parades.  She was a diehard Cardinals Fan and spent many evenings in the Robinson City Park cheering boys and girls ball games.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Melody Woods, Robinson, IL; Tammy and Jim Moore, St. Charles, MO; Kelly and Christopher DeWitt, Robinson, IL; four grandchildren, Shane Crouch and Angie Crabtree, Aberdeen, NC; Misty Gillaspy, Chicago, IL; Travis Moore, Wilmington, NC; Austin Moore, St. Charles, MO; a great granddaughter, Autumn Crouch and Jacob Stewart, Olney, IL; a great-great-grandson, Nolan Stewart, Olney, IL; sister, Virginia Bush of Robinson, IL, formerly of Porterville, IL.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Sam Crouch, two sons-in-law, Herb Gillaspy and Bruce Woods.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday March 29, 2016 at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL with Pastor Christopher DeWitt officiating.  Friends may call from 11:00 AM Tuesday March 29, 2016 until the time of funeral services at 2:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL. Burial will follow funeral services in Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Lincolnland, Mattoon, IL, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
