Dear Bill and Jim, and your families,
I am so sad to learn of Jo's passing. She touched many lives, mine included. Thank you for sharing her with all of us those many years. I'm afraid I don't do jumpin' jacks anymore because I'm lazy, not because she didn't teach me better. I will always remember her fondly and am thankful for having known her as more than just a teacher -- truly a friend.
My best,
Dana Finney

I don't think there could've been but a few days she didn't smile❤️. And I don't know of a student in Oblong that didn't love her. She was one precious character! I seem to remember one fine school day I wasn't 'feeling well', so I called Mom at work and told her I wasn't going to school that day. I 'somehow ended' up at my friends house. 😳. Well, Mom had called home (remember no cell phones) and I wasn't there 😳😳. She went to school and talked to Mrs. Wilkin to see how I was, thinking I obviously felt better and went back to school. Mrs. Wilkin then told Mom my gf wasn't 'feeling well' either🙄. Ooooooooooops. Imagine the look on my face when Mom drove up to the door! Next day when I went to school, Mrs. Wilkin laughed her butt off!!! Didn't yell at me, just laughed and laughed!!! Heaven gained another angel 😇

Bill, Jim and families:
Sorry for your loss, your mom was an absolute sweetheart. Sadly I was never asked to be part of girls PE although it looked like fun.
I will not be able to attend either visitation or burial because I am having two wisdom teeth cut out Friday. Unless, Dr. You would be willing to work something out.
Again, sorry for your loss.
