MRS. JUDITH A. “JUDY” SMOLINSKI, AGE 72

Mrs. Judith A. “Judy” Smolinski, age 72, of Flat Rock, IL, died Thursday October 29, 2015 at 00:12 AM at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Joliet, IL, following Cardio-Pulmonary collapse earlier in the day.

Judy was born July 4, 1943 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Simon and LaVerne (Dixman) Gudinas.  On July 6, 1963 she married Michael J. Smolinski, Sr. and he died October 14, 2015.

Judy was a homemaker; member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, Robinson, IL; member of the Catholic Daughters and Pioneer Volunteer Network.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Michael Jr. and Gail Smolinski, Robinson, IL; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Paul Karanosky, Joliet, IL; brother and sister-in-law, Jerome “Jerry” and Cindy Gudinas, Pensacola, FL; sisters and brothers-in-law, Christina and Mike Junger, Orland Park, IL; Catherine Johnson, Plano, IL; brother-in-law, Wally Bellisino, Kankakee, IL; sister-in-law, Kay Smolinski, Mokena, IL; Ann B. and Ed Becker, Mokena, IL; four grandchildren, Lauryn Karanosky; Lukas Karanosky; Michael J. Smolinski III and Jake R. Smolinski; four great-grandchildren, Jakob Karanosky, Caiden Karanosky, Lillian Karanosky and Lincoln Gaylord and several nieces and nephews survive.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday November 3, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, Robinson, IL, with Rev. Father Aloysius Okey Ndeanaefo officiating.  Visitation will be Monday November 2, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL. Cremation will follow traditional services with innichment of cremated remains in Resurrection Cemetery, Justis, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
