MRS. ESTHER VIRGINIA PARKER SMITH, AGE 90

Mrs. Esther Virginia Parker Smith, age 90, of Robinson, IL, died Monday July 13, 2015 at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care Center, (Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home), Robinson, IL following several years of declining health.

Born February 3, 1925 in Kansas City, MO, she was the daughter of Ralph and Golda (Moade) Renchen.  On June 29, 1946 she married Royal Harrison Parker and he preceded her in death in 1984.  On February 3, 1992 she married Carl T. Smith, and he has preceded her in death.  Virginia worked at L.S. Heath and Sons Candy Plant, South Jackson Street, Robinson, IL and was a homemaker.  She loved to cook, kept a very clean house and she dearly loved her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Michael “Mike” and Mary Jane Parker, Robinson, IL; Danny and Debi Parker, Robinson, IL; Roger and Donna Parker, Annapolis, IL; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Leonard Goff, Robinson, IL; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Royal Harrison Parker; husband Carl T. Smith; brother, Paul Renchen.

Funeral service will be Wednesday July 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL with Rev. Jay Regennitter officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday July 15, 2015 from 12:00 Noon until time of service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the funeral home.
