MR. MARVIN L. COOK, AGE 78

Mr. Marvin L. Cook, age 78, of Robinson, IL, died Thursday March 5, 2015 at 12:14 PM at his residence in Robinson, IL, following a period of declining health.

Born May 27, 1936 in Grove County, Kansas, he was the son of Orville and Velda (Henley) Cook.  In 1953 he married Virginia (Stricklin), who passed away in 1956. On July 1, 1959 he married Maxine C. (Moore) Cook and she survives.

Marvin was a Truck Driver for Tempco Products Company, Robinson, IL, retiring in 1998.  He was a member of the Teamsters Local, #135, Terre Haute, IN; Loyal Order of the Moose, Robinson, IL, and Sons of the VFW, Robinson, IL.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine C. Cook, Robinson, IL; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Karen Cook, Hutsonville, IL; daughters, Cheryl Cook and fianc√© Richard Bushong, Martinsburg, W. VA; Karen Pike, Stillwater, OK; sisters and brother-in-law, Judy and Joe McConnell, Monett, MO; Jolene Cook, Monett, MO; sister-in-law, Rosemary Badgley, Robinson, IL; brother-in-law, Charles Moore, Oblong, IL;  fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Jeffrey A. Cook in 2011; a daughter, Jeanie Dull, 2012 and a brother, Dale Cook.

There will be cremation with interment of cremated remains at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VFW Post #4549, Transportation Fund, Robinson, IL.

I am sorry to hear of Marvin's passing.
I had the pleasure of working with Marvin for many years at Tempco Products Co.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
