MR. GARY D. CRAMPTON, AGE 67

Mr. Gary D. Crampton, age 67, of Robinson, IL, died Friday October 3, 2014 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN, following several years of progressive respiratory disease.

Born February 26, 1947 in Robinson, IL, he was the son of Allen D. “Gabby” and Mary (Bennett) Crampton.  On April 21, 1977 he married Cheryl L. Goodman and she survives.

Gary served in the US Air Force, Vietnam; he was Job Superintendent/Project supervisor, Duke and Duke Services Taylor, MI employed as a Millwright with Local 1051, Lincoln, IL; retired in 2002; he was Robinson Township Road Commissioner from Spring 2007 thru 2010.  Gary was a member of AF & AM 250 Robinson Masonic Lodge and member of Shrine Krazy Klowns AINAD Shrine Temple.

Survivors include his wife Cheryl L. Crampton, Robinson, IL; daughter & son-in-law, Amy and Dan Mendenhall, Robinson, IL; son, Gary D. Crampton, California; daughter, Sabrina Crampton, California; granddaughters, Paige, Alexis, Olivia Mendenhall, Robinson, IL; sister-in-law, Barbara (Tom) Austin, Casey, IL; sister, Judy Tuttle, Avon, IN and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Twilight funeral service will be Tuesday October 7, 2014 at 7:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL, with Bro. Lee Gurley officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday October 7, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the New Hebron Christian School or Shriners Crippled Children’s Hospital with envelopes available at the funeral home.
