MR. RICHARD L. GLENN, 80,

of Robinson, IL., died Thursday Sept. 25, 2014 in the emergency room of Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL., following several months of failing health.

Mr. Glenn was born in Trimble, IL, June 7, 1934, he graduated from Robinson Township High School in June of 1952 and in December of that same year, enlisted in the United States Air Force, eventually becoming a Munitions Specialist with the 17th Bomb Wing (TAC) serving in the Republic of South Korea.  He was honorably discharged in 1956.

Richard was a machine operator for PUREX Corporation (now DIAL), in St. Louis, MO for approximately 33 years and is survived by his son Richard Don Glenn of Wood River, IL; daughter Patty J. Fornero of Noblesville, IN and his son Jeffery Glenn of Robinson; a brother James Lee “Jim” Glenn of Ft. Worth, TX; a sister Mrs. Rosanne (Mike) Ward of Newburgh, IN; two grandchildren Bradley Glenn of St. Louis and Dominic Fornero of Indianapolis. Also surviving are four nieces, Melissa Glenn, Kari Garrity, April Wilson and Autumn Alldredge.  Richard’s parents preceded him in death.

Graveside committal of cremated remains will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday October 1, 2014 at the Hutsonville Cemetery, Hutsonville, IL, with Pastor Mike Ward Officiating. There will be no visitation. The family suggests contributions to the charity of the donor’s choice in Mr. Glenn’s memory.  Arrangements provided by Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL.
