MRS. MARY LETHA (HARRIS) RANKIN, AGE 92

Mrs. Mary Letha (Harris) Rankin, age 92, of Robinson, IL, died Friday June 6, 2014 at 2:18 PM at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care, Robinson, IL, following several years of failing health.

Born January 2, 1922 in Oblong, IL, the daughter of Ira and Laura (Eveland) Shook.  In 1939 she married then later divorced Oscar Dennis.  In 1946 she married Edward Harris and he passed away in 1974.  Then in 1988 she married Jess Rankin and he preceded her in death in September of 2000.

Mrs. Rankin was a member of the New Hebron Baptist Church, New Hebron, IL.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Ira and Diane Dennis, Harrisburg, PA; Charles E. Harris, Robinson, IL; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Kay and Harold Rankin, Tyler, TX; Beverly Janeen Simmers, Deland, FL; Laura Diane and Terry Meek, Robinson, IIL; four grandchildren, Tracy Cummings; Tristy Walker; Brooke Dennis and Amanda Meeks; eight great-grandchildren, Jonathan Cummings; Jessica Cummings; Aaron Walker; Austin Walker, Alexis Dennis; Sabrina Huddlestun; Alera Meeks and Christina Meeks along with several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husbands; brothers, Fownie Shook; Eldon “Dutch” Shook; Charlie Weck; Willie Weck; sisters, Tincle McClosky; Hazel Hurley; Zelma Shook; Rachel Perkins; Mable Musgrave; Clara Huddlestun; Leafay Martin and a grandson, Jeremy Michael Harris.

Funeral service will be Wednesday June 11, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL, with Bro. Jack Clay officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday June 11 from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery, Licking Township, Crawford County, IL.

Memorial donations may be given to the New Hebron Baptist Church, New Hebron, IL, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
