Susan Kay (Antrim) Mann, AGE 57

Mrs. Susan K. Antrim Mann, age 57 of Houston, Texas died November 30, 2013 at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, Houston, TX following a long illness.  Susan was born September 7, 1956 in Columbus, IN one of four daughters to George M. and Patricia Antrim.  Following High School, Susan earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University, South Bend, IN and worked as a substitute teacher in Elkhart, IN school system and El Paso and Clear Creek.  Her true vocation was her family and being a mother to her two children, Lauren and  Kevin.

Susan greatly enjoyed music; she played the violin and was a member of many church choirs over the years.  Along with her music participation, she helped form the Young Adults Group at Elkhart Central Christian Church and was a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship at Taylor lake Christian Church, Seabrook, TX, where she was a member for the last several years.

Survivors include her Husband James Mann of Houston, TX her son Kevin Mann, also of Houston, her daughter Lauren, a teacher in Osaka, Japan; three sisters Joyce Chicione, Renselaer, NY; Cheryl Oliver, Phoenix, AZ; and Julie Feyka, Indianapolis, IN; her mother and step-father Patricia “Pat” and Del May, South Bend, IN and several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Antrim was preceded in death by her father George M. Antrim in 2009.

A combined Memorial and Funeral Service for Susan and her mother-in-law, Mrs. Dale R. Mann will be conducted at 11:00 am, Friday December 20, 2013, at Pulliam Funeral Home in Robinson, IL.  

Rev. John Fyffe will officiate both services and burial will follow in Newlin Cemetery, Robinson Township, Robinson, IL.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association or Grand Prairie Christian Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
