JAMIE S. CORNWELL, AGE 44

Jamie S. Cornwell, age 44, of Robinson, IL, died Monday December 2, 2013 at 4:00 AM at his residence following a two and a half year courageous battle with cancer.

Born June 21, 1969 in Lawrenceville, IL, he was the son of Pearl and Leona Ellen (Cornwell) Matheney Jr.  On December 17, 1988 he married Kimberly Ann (Snider) and she survives.

Jamie Was the Plant Manager for Tempco Products Company, Robinson, IL.  He attended Robinson High School, and graduated Lincoln Trail College in 1991. His hobbies included art, drawing, playing the guitar, NASCAR Racing and Super Cross.  He enjoyed music concerts and camping.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly A. “Kim” (Snider) Cornwell, Robinson, IL; sons, Kirk Newman Cornwell, Robinson, IL; Cody James Cornwell and Christine Thompson, Robinson, IL; mother, Leona Ellen Matheney, Robinson, IL; brothers, Scott and Chris Matheney, New York, NY; John and Tondra Matheney, Terre Haute, IN; sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara and Brad Watts, Robinson, IL; Kristi Walker, Robinson, IL; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jerry and Joan Snider, Robinson, IL; sister-in-law and spouse, Pam and Mike Bell, Robinson, IL and an aunt, Barbara (Cornwell) Rodriguez, Robinson, IL along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding him in death was his father, Pearl Matheney Jr.

Funeral service will be Thursday December 5, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL, with Bro. Gene Beard officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday December 4, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL.  Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery, rural Flat Rock, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to The Good House at Indiana University Medical Center, 527 N. College Avenue, Indianapolis, IN, with envelopes available at the funeral home.

I was extremely saddened to hear of Jamie's passing. I've gotten to know Jamie over the past several years and he was an extremely dear friend. It was a pleasure working with him and I very much enjoyed being around him everytime we got together. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family. He will be missed tremendously by everyone who knew him. I thank God that I knew him.

Kim and family,

I am very sorry to hear of Jamie's passing. I feel blessed to have met him and your whole family for the 3 short days I did. I have been thinking of him. I will be thinking of you and the whole family during this difficult time. I can always remember him by "those are some nice boots you have there" :)
