Mr. Jerry D. Mieure, age 75, of Robinson, IL, died Thursday August 8, 2013 at 5:55 AM EST on St. George Island, (Apalachacola) Franklin County, FL.
Born February 2, 1938 in Sumner, IL, he was the son of Gus and Bessie (Nelson) Mieure. On April 19, 1962 he married Patricia M. (Brown) and she preceded him in death on March 8, 2013. Jerry worked for the Marathon Oil Company, Robinson, IL as a Chief Operator, UniCracker, Complex 6; served in the US Army and was a member of the Flat Rock American legion Post #132; Palestine AmVets Post #33; Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #3329, Palestine, IL and Crawford Post #4549, V.F.W.
Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Terry Mieure, Allen, TX; Brent Mieure, Garland, TX; Lynn and Lori Mieure, Robinson, IL; daughters and son-in-law, Tammy Cherry, Robinson, IL; Sherri and Roger McDaniel, Robinson, IL; sisters and brother-in-law, Thelma Atkins, Bridgeport, IL; Edna and Enoch Ahlfield, Mason City, IL; grandchildren, Christen and Mike Crosley, Robinson, IL; Lindsay and Brandon Beck, Rochester, IL; Bonnie and Mauricio Herbas, Spartanburg, SC; Beth and Travis Wells, Avon, IN; MaeCie and Johnny Schlomer, Vincennes, IN; Micayla and Rich Brooks, San Antonio, TX; Nathan Cherry, Kerigan Cherry, Austin Weck, Payton Weck, Destinee’ Mieure, Desiree’ Mieure, all of Robinson, IL; Hanna Mieure, Lawrenceville, IL; Joey Campbell, Lawrenceville, IL; Brittney Campbell, US Navy; Brian Mieure, Garland, TX; great-grandchildren, Alayna Durall, Olia Crosley, Bryce Crosley, Brennen Beck, Corbin Beck, A.J. Herbas, Dominic Wells, Arianna Wells, Abbi Schlomer, Ayden Schlomer, Evan Drake, Jackson Brooks; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Patricia Mieure, March 8, 2013; brothers, Raymond Mieure, Delbert Mieure, George Mieure, Les Mieure, Martin Mieure and Jack Mieure; sisters, Mary Legg and Viola Weigel.
Funeral service will be Wednesday August 14, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL with visitation Tuesday August 13, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL. Burial will be in the Palestine City Cemetery, Palestine, IL. Memorial donations may be made to the AmVets Transportation Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home. Military graveside rites will be provided by EM Coulter Post, VFW #4549 and AmVets #33.
