Mr. James Everett “Jim” Wells, age 75, of Robinson, IL, died Sunday March 10, 2013 at 2:35 pm at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL, following multiple heart related issues and a stroke.

Born January 16, 1938 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, he was the son of Arvin and Florine (Dennison) Wells.  In 1969, he and Sherry Ann Brush became Lifelong Companions, and she survives.

Jim was employed as an Orderly at Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, IN for 15 years; worked as a Roustabout for Smith Drilling Company, Lawrenceville, IL for 5 years and was a Laborer for Sheehan Pipeline for Marathon Oil Company, Robinson, Illinois; Served in the US Navy and was a Master Mason, Hardinville Lodge, Hardinville, IL; and was a 32 degree Mason, Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of St. Louis.

Survivors include his companion, Sherry A. Brush-Wells, Robinson, IL; sons and daughters-in-law, James A. “Jake” Wells, Robinson, IL; Steven Patrick and Laura Wells, Bridgeport, IL; daughter-in-law, Jolene Wells, Las Vegas, NV; stepson, Tony Robinson, Robinson, IL; six grandchildren, Josh Wells, Amber Maag, Lindsey Beebe, Jeremy Wells, Ryan Robinson, Jarrod Robinson; four great-grandchildren, Issac Beebe, Nikali Wells, Braxton Wells, Braylie Wells; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin “Shorty” and Sue Wells, Sumner, IL; Paul David Wells, Lawrenceville, IL; William and Mary Wells, Springfield, KY; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and William Hawkins, Lawrenceville, IL and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Donnie Ray Wells and Arvin Wells Jr.

There will be Cremation with no services.

There will be a Gathering for Family and Friends to be held at the Robinson Community Center, Robinson, IL on Wednesday March 13, 2013 from 12:00 noon until 5:00 pm.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
